1. True Friend

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13, NIV

He is one whom we can be ourselves with. He respects us not based on our own value but based upon His unconditional love. He definitely knows the worst about us yet chooses to love us the same. He sticks closer than a brother. The best thing, His love is sacrificial – never selfish. It is active. When he laid down His life on the cross, He demonstrated the essence of true friendship.

As His disciples, we are called to do the same.

2. Ever-present Friend

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:1, NIV

We found ourselves having common interests with Him. Experiences about our lives, our happiness, joy, struggles, troubles, etc. were no secrets to Him. And in time, we learned that God’s not hard to find. He is never tired of waiting for us, listening to us. He is always there. His encouragement makes us the women He wants us to be.

We believe that He made us with one of the great purposes – to be a friend to others in every season of life.

3. Faithful Friend

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV

We can’t explain this kind of love, this kind of grace. We know we still break His heart sometimes and yet He runs to welcome us. And we can only be in admiration on how He had been very regal in revealing His interest to us. From the moment our lives began, He had been faithful even if we failed in this area too many times. Until that day when we see each other again face to face, His love never fails.

Our hearts continue to strive in living as His faithful servants.

4. Greatest Friend

“’For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Jeremiah 29:11, NIV

No one can say that he doesn’t need a friend.  Our greatest need is love. Partnership is important which we can also experience when we build friendship. God is so good that He lets us experience to have a friend like Him. His willingness to be open to us about His great plans in our lives is an honor. How huge it is to know that He never intends any harm on us and the promise of a future is a beautiful assurance. We are grateful because He shared to us His promises – promises that will never be broken.

We are so blessed to be a part of His circle.
