Writer’s Block

I have dreams of becoming a professional pastry chef and having a little bakery – that’s how much I love baking. I love to cook in general, but my heart lies in desserts.

Nowhere to go? Discover The Alley, a Banco De Oro project. One of the rooms in this barn-like venue is perfect for your personal hideaway or a cozy hangout choice with friends. If you want to be away from the crowd, it’s a must-stay. Minimalist aura, showcasing pastries, wine (yes, that’s quite right), and beer. The unique pieces they have are adorable tables that look like chopping boards. And the black high chairs are a standout too. It’s great to meet Jackie (the owner), JR and Louie (friendly masters of service).

Last week of March was its soft opening. Nina invited me to try their cocktails. We were fortunate to be served with mojito (with rum) and a coffee & cream liqueur all for free! We bought banana cake and earl grey muffin. Oh my, they are absolutely heaven! We were eager to share this news with Yas and Beth. They arrived a few minutes later, had a few sips. So they liked it and ordered “to-go” mojito (P220 each) before leaving. We have our new found love!♥
